When did you join Timly? If you started using our asset management software before June 2024, you've already experienced a significant changeāour rebranding. We wanted it to reflect our DNA as an innovative solution simplifying daily operations.
In the same vein, itās now time for our web app navigation to evolve. This transformation marks a new chapter in Timlyās story, offering you a seamless user experience, more efficient, and intuitive.
You might wonder: āWhy change?ā. Since its launch in 2020, our web app has been constantly evolving. Over the years, weāve enriched it with more features to take your asset management further. What began as a simple and smart solution is now a comprehensive all-in-one platform for multiple use cases.
After these five years of innovation, it was time to put simplicity back at the core of your user experience. The new Timly navigation enables intuitive navigation through your feature ecosystem, offering a structure ready to seamlessly integrate new functionalities.
šļø New Navigation: Important Dates
To ensure a smooth transition to our new navigation, weāve prepared a detailed plan:
- Preparation: Starting Now
This guide will serve as an indispensable tool to facilitate a smooth and successful transition to the new navigation. It will help you clearly understand and visualize the new navigation before its deployment.
- Deployment: March 3, 2025
Your new navigation will be available starting Monday, March 3, 2025.

ļø To revert to the previous navigation, click the āNew designā icon, then the āRevert to previous navigationā button.
- Transition: March 3 ā May 4, 2025
While this new navigation simplifies your Timly experience, adapting to any change takes time. Over two months, from March 3 to May 4, 2025, you can explore and familiarize yourself with the new navigation at your own pace while retaining the option to revert to the previous version if needed.
Important to note:
- You can switch between the new and previous navigation as often as you like.
- Your navigation choice applies only to your own account and wonāt impact other users in your organization.
- Migration: May 5, 2025
From Monday, May 5, 2025 on, the previous navigation will no longer be available. The new navigation will become your sole solution for using Timly.

- Our team will be by your side throughout this transition and will remain available afterward to support you and answer any questions you might have. š What Has Changed? Discover the New Timly
The mission of this new navigation is clear: to make accessing features easier for you. Whether youāre a seasoned Timly user or have just recently adopted our solution, whether you use just a few or all of our featuresā¦ With our new navigation, youāll always know where to find themāeffortlessly, simply, and without any possible confusion. To achieve this, weāve made two major changes:
We centralized the navigation
In the previous iteration, navigation controls were split between a vertical menu bar on the left and a horizontal bar at the top right. Now, everything is consolidated in one place: a single sidebar on the left, providing a more intuitive and streamlined navigation experience.
We structured the navigation
In the previous iteration, the navigation was complex, especially for Timly accounts with a lot of features. As new features were added, the navigation expanded, cluttering the visual layout. Now, we reorganized the navigation so it can accommodate new features while remaining compact and well-structured.
The new navigation is built around five main menusāInventory, Tickets, Resources, Training, and Settingsāproviding structured and intuitive access to all features.

š” Note that your navigation will vary depending on the modules and features activated for your Timly account.
Inventory
š This menu item provides access to Timly's homepage: the inventory view. It also centralizes all the different views, including the scheduling and the map view.
Tickets
š This menu item offers direct access to all of your tickets.
Resources
š This menu item gives centralized access to our core features related to asset management: people, locations, stocktaking, and signatures.
Training
š This new menu item consolidates all the skills and training of your employees.
Settings
š This menu item is dedicated to all of your settings. It is divided into two main sections: CONFIGURATION (for object, people, container, ticket categories, and other specific settings) and SYSTEM (for global settings).
You will also find the following icons below the 5 menu items:
- The first menu, displaying your initials, is dedicated to your user account. It allows you to access your profile, the Help Center, manage your account settings, and log out. You can also select your organizational unit here.
- The bell icon gathers all your notifications. This is where youāll find announcements about the latest Timly updates!
- The "New design" icon lets you switch between the new and previous navigation. This button will be available until May 4, 2025.
- The barcode icon provides direct access to our integrated barcode scanner.
