Leverage Digital Signatures for Check-Outs and Tickets
π² What's New?
With Timly, you can now document the receipt of an item by obtaining a user's digital signature directly on-site or remotely via their mobile device. The digital signature feature in Timly seamlessly integrates with item check-outs, as well as with stocktaking and other activities.
π― Key Benefits
- Enhance accountability and save time by documenting asset checkouts.
- Ensure maintenance, inspections, and safety checks are confirmed by the personnel performing them.
- Streamline processes by conducting and storing all documentation digitally, eliminating the need for paper prints.
π‘ Why Is This Important?
Documenting asset tracking activities, especially for high-value tools, is crucial due to potential legal implications. Ensuring that these tools are in proper working condition at checkout is essential, not only for operational reliability but also for supporting any warranty claims. Paper-based documentation is outdated in the digital era. Digital signatures, particularly for remote staff, are becoming standard practice. They enable real-time system updates, ensuring that nothing is misplaced or lost.
βοΈ How Does It Work?
- In your Timly account, navigate to the main menu at the top right and click on "Basic Settings".
- From the menu on the left, select "Inventory & Services".
- Scroll down to "Signatures" and choose the appropriate settings, such as "Allow e-signature," "Allow on-site signatures," and "Send signed receipt via email".
- Additionally, you can opt to "Automatically request a signature via email" and "Allow signatures for containers".
