Designate Default Responsible Persons for Specific Asset Categories

šŸ“² What's New?

With Timly, you can now connect designated persons not only to individual assets but also to broader roles within the system. For instance, you can designate a specific person for a particular asset category, and automatically include this user in the assetā€™s record. This capability extends across different locations and branches, allowing you to assign additional responsibilities within subcategories as needed. This streamlined approach ensures that the right people are connected to the right assets, enhancing oversight and management of your resources.

šŸŽÆ Key Benefits

  • Automatically include designated persons when registering new assets, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
  • Designated contacts for each asset category are clearly visible to all users, ensuring transparency across the organization.
  • Updates to designated persons are automatically applied to all assets within a category, maintaining accuracy even when responsibilities change.

šŸ’” Why Is This Important?

Assets frequently move between multiple locations, including home offices and other sites, making it challenging to manage and communicate effectively. Assigning default designated persons to specific asset categories simplifies this process. These key contacts manage inquiries and issues related to the assets, promoting consistent and efficient oversight. This system of predefined responsibilities fosters a uniform management strategy throughout the company, ensuring that all relevant records are maintained and easily updated within Timly.
